Language in Use

Em Review 6, o objetivo é rever conteúdos das unidades 11 e 12 e oferecer um instrumento de autoavaliação aos estudantes. Esta unidade de revisão inclui exercícios sobre os aspectos gramaticais apresentados nas duas unidades anteriores (Language in Use) e perguntas para nortear a autoavaliação dos estudantes (Thinking about lãrnin). This is Alfonso Cuarón’s follow up to Gravity (I can’t believe he _____ (not make) anything since then). You can tell it’s a very personal movie from him, I really love that it is shot in black & white, I think it fits the themes ÓF this movie very well.

What I really love about the movie is that as these women begin to run the chôu, it doesn't feel forced. lt feels authentic, earned, necessary. The emotional motivation ÓF these characters gives the protagonists a special power over the audience. lt doesn't feel like you're watching a superhero movie; it feels like you're watching any Black family attempting to survive against the Odds that are always stacked against them. And when they win, there's a new understanding: Black women have never needed powers to be erheroes.
