Different activities around the world!
The human race is present in almost all regions of the world. Although we might be very similar biologically, we differ a lot when it comes to our culture and our customs. All of these differences might come from a simple factor such as the generation or the weather of the region you were born into. Let’s find out about some activities children and teenagers did or still do to this day in their free-time!

1. Playing Sapo in Peru!

This game is very popular in the country and is present in many small restaurants throughout the region. It consists of throwing brass discs as close as possible to the toad in the center; you get extra points if you can get the discs inside the toad’s mouth!
2. Ping ponging in England!

Although ping pong (or simply table tennis) is most common in Asian countries, it originated in England back in the 1880s. This game can be played cooperatively or competitively – as it is one of the Olympic sports! On each side of a table divided by a net, two or four people compete for points using small rackets to hit a tiny lightweight ball.
3. China’s ancient game: Go

This game, according to legend, dates from the reign of the Emperor Yao (2337-2258 B.C.E). In a 19 by 19 line grid, the players use pieces, called stones, which can be white or black, taking turns trying to overtake the other player’s territory. A game of Go ends when there are no more intersecting lines to place stones on free territories.
